I can't believe I'm doing this. It's not like anyone besides me is reading my entries at this point.
I just watched "The True Story of Charlie Wilson" on The History Channel. They interviewed both Charlie and Aaron Sorkin, which pleased me to no end.
I'm going to a matinee of "Charlie Wilson's War" tomorrow. Word on the street from people who know Charlie personally is that Tom Hanks' portrayal is spot-on. That surprises me because Charlie is such an imposing figure when you see him in real life -- incredibly tall, booming voice, and larger-than-life in general -- and Tom just does not strike me as any of those things. It's not that I don't love Tom Hanks, I do. But Tom as Good Time Charlie? I'm not so sure. I still can't wait to see the movie, though!
