Height isn't everything

The Pulp List's Top Ten Short Leading Men (short = under 5'10")

Gary Oldman (5'9") is number six, and Michael J. Fox (5'4.5") is number one.

It's actually a well thought-out list, so check out the above link to see the whole thing (My only complaint is that Tom Cruise is on it...bleh.).

Hey, piney. Great post! They found some very short leading men, didn't they? :-)

It reminds me -- I used to have a list of my favorite "short" celebrities. (Of course "short" to me is pretty tall. I'm nearly 6' in half my shoes.)

Hmm, the only ones I can remember right now are Mark Feuerstein (Cliff ftw!), RDJ, Jon Bon Jovi (see? he's not very short), Jamie Bamber, Kenneth Branagh, even Colin Farrell and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who are probably not technically short at all (5'10" or so). My new favorite short guy is Kris Allen.

They say in that piece that leading men are typically tall, but I think the vast majority are not (not over 6' anyway).

Hi, Mary!!

Anyone over, oh, 5'8" is tall to me because I'm only 5'5"!

I forgot that RDJ isn't very tall...love him! And Mark Feuerstein is adorably short! If I sat down and thought about it, I'm sure I could come up with a lot more actors who are short but whose height has never affected their "leading man" status.

Oh, just thought of one: Jason Schwartzmann
