I just finished reading Stealing Lincoln's Body by Thomas J. Craughwell.
It relates the story of a foiled plot by a gang of Chicago counterfeiters to steal President Lincoln's body and hold it ransom, and it details the lengths the custodian of Lincoln's tomb went to to ensure the body was safe.
I found it quite interesting, but then again I love all things Lincoln. Craughwell's not the world's most entertaining writer, but his stories definitely held my attention and he adds a lot of cool details about the time period and the people involved. The book was a fast read, especially for historical non-fiction. It's only a little over 200 pages and I read it over two days.
