So, I just turned on my television to the TV Guide Channel to see if there is anything worth watching tonight (There isn't.), and TV Guide is celebrating the upcoming inauguration by showing an hour-long special about presidents on TV and in the movies.  It's called Hollywood Presidents:  Hail to the Chief.  Kinda neat.

Profiles include:
- Martin Sheen as Jed Bartlet
- Jimmy Smits as Matt Santos (It discusses how the character is loosely based on Obama.)
- Michael Douglas as Andrew Shepard from The American President

Warning:  All the profiles are super short.  They're not exactly in-depth...after all, it's TV Guide not Time!

There's also a brief segment about First Ladies.  Stockard Channing's portrayal of Abbey Bartlet is the first mentioned.

The show talks a little about Presidential campaigns, too.  A comparison is made between Arnie Vinnick vs. Matt Santos and John McCain vs. Barack Obama.

TV Guide replays their "specials" all the time, so I'm sure it will be shown again tonight and tomorrow (and the next day, and the next day...you get the idea) if anyone wants to watch it.
