Sticks & Stones
I think I might have a new show. Maybe. Possibly. We'll see.
I am not normally a fan of procedural dramas -- I watch House fairly regularly and I will catch the occasional episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, but that's about it. The other night I caught the last 20 minutes of an older episode of Bones, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The quality of the dialogue doesn't compare to The West Wing, but it's definitely better than a lot of the crap on TV right now. David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel have really great chemistry. The banter between Booth and Brennan is a little bit reminiscent of a certain other couple...I don't think I need to tell you who I mean. I watched tonight's new episode and Booth actually tried to sabotage one of Brennan's dates. Hmmm, sound familiar to anyone?
No show could ever rival The West Wing, but I have been looking for a new drama to watch for a while now. I'm going try out Bones for a few weeks and see if it sticks. I'll let you know if this potential new "relationship" works out.
