Christmas Partied Out

Seriously.  I have attended no less than five Christmas parties over the last three weekends (including two in one night last Saturday).  I have never been so glad that it's the last weekend before Christmas.  My neighbor down the street had a get-together tonight.  I left early.  Watching drunk people sing karaoke off key is not my idea of holiday fun.  My neighbor's live-in boyfriend is a chef, though, so at least the food was excellent.

Speaking of food, I've finally perfected my mom's famous peanut butter fudge recipe.  The last two times I tried to make it, the fudge didn't harden like it's supposed to, so it was basically a giant blob of peanut butter flavored goo.  I had to eat it with a spoon.  This time, however, it came out perfectly.  Success!

The holiday spirit has moved me to watch all five Christmas episodes of The West Wing.  I'm starting tomorrow with In Excelsis Deo, followed by Noel on Monday, Bartlet For America on Tuesday, Holy Night on Christmas Eve, and finally Abu El Banat on Christmas Day.  I'll post a few brief thoughts each night after I finish watching.  I guess technically Impact Winter could be considered a Christmas ep, but it's not very Christmassy, plus I can't bear to watch Donna quit again...It will totally ruin the whole peace-on-earth-goodwill-toward-men vibe I've got going on.

Happy holidays, ya'll!
