Sports Night!!!

My Sports Night 10th Anniversary Edition Complete Series DVD Set (Whoa, that's a mouthful!) arrived in my mailbox this afternoon.  I'm so excited!  I haven't seen an episode of Sports Night in at least six years and I've forgotten a lot of the storylines, so watching these DVDs will be almost like watching a new show!  Of course, my planned Sports Night marathon is going to have to wait until after Saturday.  But that's cool...it can be a part of my "I survived the LSAT" celebration!

I couldn't resist tearing off the plastic wrapper and pulling out all the DVD cases.  The packaging is nice, but not super-fancy or anything.  Let's see, what else?

  • Eight DVDs
  • Tons of special features (including an interview with Aaron Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme that I can't wait to watch)
  • A 36 page booklet containing a note from Aaron, episode descriptions, a floor plan of the set, and lots of cool photos.
Overall, I'm quite impressed!  :-)

Gah, totally jealous. As I have the original dvd set, I just can't get the new one! You'll have to fill us in on the interviews.

I promise to post a full review (eventually)! I know there are supposed to be some new special features, but I'm thinking the new set still has a lot of the features from the old DVDs as well, so maybe you're not missing out on too much!

I thought the first DVD set didn't have *any* extras? (It's most of the reason why I didn't get it, especially since I had a set of tapes that a group of fans had semi-professionally done.)

I've heard of a few people getting the new set, and either giving their old set away, or putting it on eBay or something.

I'm going to poke my husband and see if he's planning on getting this for me, or if I have to go do it myself. I don't think I can wait much longer!

Hmm...you may be right. I've never actually seen the old DVD set, I just assumed there were extras because most sets have at least some. But you know what they say about assuming, don't you?! ;-)
